A product of St. Albert, Alta., Barwick spent the 2023-24 season with the Lions but did not see a game with the team.
Prior to going to the NCAA, Barwick spent parts of four seasons playing for Brooks Bandits (AJHL). In 111 career regular season games, he collected a 98-9-2 record to go along with a 2.08 GAA and a .913 SV%.
His impressive junior career also included winning two AJHL championships with the Bandits (in 2021-22 & 2022-23), AJHL Playoff MVP as well as being named to the AJHL (South) All-Star Team (both in 2022-23).
Although Barwick never saw a game with the Lions, he has the chance to be a solid pick-up for the Wildcats. If he is able to find his form quickly, Barwick will be not to watch.
