On December 11, Emma Fortin announced that she and Brendan Gallagher were expecting a baby. The Gallaghers’ bundle of joy is set to arrive in March, and with just a couple of months left, the parents-to-be must be getting quite excited.
However, Gallagher won’t be the only new dad on the team. Paola Anderson, Josh Anderson’s wife, published a picture on her Instagram account, making it clear that the Andersons are also expecting. Anderson and his wife tied the knot in June in Italy since that’s where his wife is originally from. The power forward was born in Burlington, Ontario, but since his job meant he was calling the shot when it came to where to live, it’s only fair that his wife would decide where to get married.

The Gallaghers’ wedding was far less exotic since it was held right here in town since Fortin was born and raised in Montreal. The Canadiens’ alternate captain was born in Alberta, but he has been a Montreal Canadiens player since the 2012-23 campaign and must feel right at home in Montreal now.

Both dads-to-be are having a good season, perhaps even better than they did last season, flanking Christian Dvorak on the Canadiens’ third line. In 45 games, Anderson has put up 17 points, last year, he had put up just 20 in 78 games. Early this season, he had quite the fight with the New York Rangers’ Jacob Trouba (now a Anaheim Ducks). As for Gallagher, he also has 17 points in 45 games on pace for 31 points, which was funnily enough his exact output last season. In the next week, the Canadiens’ veteran will be playing his 800th career game.
