Alabama softball regional location, opponents revealed for NCAA Tournament

For yet another season, the Alabama Crimson Tide softball team will play in the NCAA Tournament.

Announced on Sunday night, Alabama has once again made the NCAA Tournament, as the Crimson Tide will not only play postseason softball in the coming days, but also host a regional. Yes, Alabama will host the Tuscaloosa Regional from Rhoads Stadium, as the Crimson Tide were ranked as the No. 15 overall national seed Sunday night during the NCAA Tournament selection show.

Taking place from May 16-18, Alabama will be joined by No. 2 seed Virginia Tech, No. 3 seed Belmont, and No. 4 seed Jackson State in the Tuscaloosa Regional.

The Crimson Tide are coming off a 37-21 overall season in which they went 12-12 against SEC opponents, and will now look to make their third-consecutive Women’s College World Series appearance in the coming weeks.
