“My daughter and I are excited to bring Daniel’s to Fort Lauderdale, a place I’ve called home for over 25 years,” says Thomas Angelo, Founder of Gioia Hospitality Group and local co-owner of MICHELIN-Guide recommended Fiola Miami. “This project is deeply personal for me, as it reflects not only my passion for food but also my commitment to highlighting the incredible farmers, ranchers, and seasonal produce of Florida,” said Thomas Angelo, founder of Gioia Hospitality Group and local co-owner of MICHELIN-Guide recommended Fiola Miami. “I raised my family here, and now I get to share a piece of that with the community by creating a steakhouse that truly feels like home.”

The Gioia Hospitality Group is home to some of South Florida’s most esteemed culinary experts. Daniel Ganem, the hospitality group’s culinary director, has carefully curated a menu showcasing seasonal ingredients from Florida’s farms and waters. Visitors can look forward to delicacies such as Skipper Sweet oysters from the Florida Panhandle, hog snapper from the Florida Keys, Prime steaks and American Wagyu from North Florida ranches, and a variety of locally sourced fruits and vegetables.

“We’re striving to make as much of our menu as Florida-sourced as possible,” says Ganem. “Our goal is to highlight the unique ingredients found right here in the Sunshine State, bringing seasonality and freshness to every dish.”

At Daniel’s, guests are treated to a delightful array of salads and starters to kick off their dining experience. Notable appetizers include the Swank Farms Kale & Hearts of Palm Salad, featuring the best local produce, and the Florida Burrata, sourced from the state’s top creameries. Indulge in the luxurious Wagyu & Pearls, a refined dish of ArrowHead beef wagyu tartare topped with Kaluga Caviar. Savor the Serenoa Bay Skipper Sweet Oysters served with a refreshing passion fruit mignonette for a taste of the coast.

Main courses at Daniel’s offer a variety of hearty options, such as the Joyce Farms Half Roasted Chicken, which is enhanced with black winter truffles and preserved lemon butter, and the Braised Suwannee River Wagyu Beef Short Rib, served with potato fondu and Gratitude Farms mushrooms. The premium “Steaks and Chops” section features expertly prepared cuts like the Arrowhead Ranch Florida Wagyu Eye of Rib and the 16oz Grass Fed Florida Providence Cattle NY Strip, grilled to perfection and complemented by house-made sauces. To finish the meal, diners can indulge in the iconic homemade Key Lime Pie or the irresistible chocolate chip cookie skillet.

Daniel Bishop, an acclaimed Wine and Beverage Director renowned for his vast expertise and thoughtfully selected offerings leads the premium bar program. Bishop emphasizes locally crafted spirits and beers, featuring selections from Gulfstream Distillery. The menu includes signature cocktails categorized as Martinis, Shaken, Stirred, Reserve, and Non-Alcoholic, with each drink meticulously crafted to elevate the dining experience.

“The focus on Florida extends to our beverage program,” says Bishop. “From locally brewed beers to handcrafted cocktails that celebrate our roots, we want guests to feel that connection to the state’s rich offerings with every sip.”

Fiola Miami’s renowned wine dinner series, led by Angelo, Bishop, and Ganem, will be brought to Daniel’s. With over 85 curated dinners to their name, the team will continue this tradition with monthly wine events. One of the upcoming events is the Macallan Dinner on October 24, 2024, featuring Florida Wagyu Beef and Macallan’s exceptional Scotch whiskey. Additionally, they will offer the Florida Tasting Menu, a six-course experience exclusively available at the restaurant’s six-seat chef’s counter. “We know how important it is to have a spot where you can enjoy a full meal later in the evening, especially after catching a game or spending time with family and friends,” Angelo says. “At Daniel’s, we’ve made it a point to be that place for our community.”
