Brad Holmes has never been shy about trading picks in the NFL Draft. The Lions GM is open to moving once again, but thus far his phone isn’t ringing with interest from other teams in the No. 28 pick.
In his pre-draft press conference, Holmes was asked if teams have called him trying to see if the team’s first-round pick is available for a trade. Holmes indicated he hasn’t taken any calls from teams looking to trade up for the pick.
Holmes said the team is “absolutely” interested in trading back, “If the compensation is right and makes sense.” With one week to go, the market for trading back appears quite cool. That’s subject to change, of course, as teams finalize their plans and zero in on specific players being worthy of moving up to select.
