Following the NFL’s free agency frenzy, who did the Jacksonville Jaguars select in a seven-round mock draft from Ben Rolfe of Pro Football Network?

Let’s react to the selections and break it all down.

Pick 5: Mason Graham, IDL, Michigan

This pick made a ton of sense before free agency and it makes even more sense now, given that of the 10 free agent signings made by the Jaguars, defensive tackle wasn’t one of them. GM James Gladstone said earlier this offseason that he wants to prioritize this position, and in what is a loaded defensive tackle draft class, Graham is considered the best of that group.

“There are plenty of EDGE options to pick from, and they could move back a few spots to add more capital and still have their pick,” wrote Rolfe. “However, staying at No. 5 and picking Mason Graham is a move they are unlikely to regret. Graham is a potential game-wrecker up the middle, and getting one of those is vital in the modern NFL.”

Pick 36: Harold Fannin, TE, Bowling Green

The additions of Johnny Mundt and Hunter Long in free agency won’t stop Gladstone from further adding to this position. Fannin brings a receiver-like presence to the position, totaling over 1,500 receiving yards last season, with the bulk of his snaps coming from the slot and boundary.

I do wonder, however, if Liam Coen is going to prefer a more well-rounded skillset at the tight end position in his offense vs. a pass-catching heavy presence. With that said, Fannin’s versatility would provide Coen with a lot of options.

“Harold Fannin Jr. is an intriguing option because of his ability to function as an oversized slot receiver while also taking snaps out of the backfield,” Rolfe wrote. “Teams often talk about having a “joker” in their offense — Fannin fits that role perfectly.”

Pick 70: Bradyn Swinson, Edge, LSU

As Gladstone may have hinted at recently, the recipe seems to be there for the Jaguars to go heavy at the defensive line position in the draft. Swinson had a breakout year in 2024, totaling 60 pressures and nine sacks. He’s also steadily graded out well against the run the past two seasons by PFF’s metrics.

Pick 88: Hollin Pierce, OT, Rutgers

The Jaguars adding heavily to the offensive line in free agency likely isn’t going to stop them from further adding to this unit in the draft. Success for Trevor Lawrence and the offense as a whole begins up front, so the emphasis very much appears to be on creating as much competition as possible along the offensive line.

Pierce has both right and left tackle experience. At left tackle in 2024, he was one of PFF’s highest-graded run-blockers and allowed just one sack and 21 pressures over 473 pass-blocking snaps.

Pick 107: Kyren Lacy, WR, LSU

The Jaguars added Dyami Brown in free agency but traded away Christian Kirk and released Josh Reynolds and Devin Duvernay. So, at a minimum, depth is needed, but competition for that No. 2 role should continue to be added to.

Lacy is listed at 6-2 -213 pounds and has both slot and boundary experience–an important element in Coen’s offense. He had 102 targets during the 2024 season, catching 57% of them at 14.9 yards per catch with nine touchdowns.

Pick 126: Jacob Parrish, CB, Kansas State

The addition of Jourdan Lewis adds stability as his presence allows Jarrian Jones to move to the boundary where the big need is at cornerback. However, there should be some competition for Jones as well.

Parrish has been a starter the last two seasons, allowing a completion rate of just 54% at 12.0 yards per catch–including just 9.3 yards per catch in 2024–with five interceptions and 10 pass breakups.

Pick 142: Malachi Moore, S, Alabama

Even with Eric Murray, numbers-wise, depth is needed at safety. It also wouldn’t be a bad idea to bolster the competition on the roster when it comes to that second starting safety spot. This past season, Moore was a very reliable tackler and had good ball production in coverage, with two interceptions and seven pass breakups.

Pick 182: Cam Jackson, IDL, Florida

The Jaguars’ third defensive lineman selection very much feels like a possibility. Jackson is a run-stuffer, measuring in at 6-6 and weighing 342 pounds. He has been one of PFF’s better-graded run defenders for the last three seasons.

Pick 194: Jah Joyner, Edge, Minnesota

Another defensive lineman! Joyne has had dependable production for the last three seasons, recording 99 pressures and 15 sacks during that span. He’s also defended the run well by PFF’s metrics.

Pick 221: Trevor Etienne, RB, Georgia

The Etienne brothers are in the same running back room in the NFL. This year’s draft class at the running back position is too good for the Jaguars to not make an addition at some point. The run game is also going to be a crucial element within Coen’s offense, helping to set up the passing game, along the running backs needing to provide a pass-catching presence as well.

Etienne averaged 5.6 yards per rush over his career, including 4.9 yards per attempt in 2024, and he had 54 targets over the last two seasons.
