SuperGaming launches Indus Battle Royale mobile esports game


SuperGaming launched its made-in-India Indus Battle Royale, targeted at mobile gamers and esports tournaments.

With over 14 million pre-registrations, the game is now available on Android and iOS, setting the stage for an esports season with the largest prize pool in the Indian battle royale history. The title is the latest targeted at mobile gamers in India with India-focused content.

Indus is an Indo-futuristic battle royale game developed by SuperGaming. The game debuteds at the No. 1 spot on the Top Charts for free-to-play games on the iOS App Store.

By combining Indian-inspired themes with futuristic gameplay, Indus Battle Royale provides a fresh take on the battle royale genre.

The open beta phase of Indus attracted helped stir up the 14 million pre-registrations and enabled testing across key regions. The feedback from these players has been instrumental in refining the game’s development, the company said.

For Android, the specifications to install include 1.5 GB of space (2.5 GB recommended), Android version: 6.0 and above, with “apply recommended” suggested for graphics settings on low-end devices. For iOS devices, the specifications to install and play the game include 2.3 GB of space (2.5 GB recommended), iOS 12.0 or later on iPhone, and iPadOS 12.0 or later.

Players can compete in traditional battle royale modes, including both FPS and TPS perspectives on the map of Virlok. Additionally, the game also offers a Team Deathmatch mode featuring 4v4 and 2v2 matches, with pre-made loadouts and a unique map called Saaplok. Players can customize their avatars and loadouts.

Cosmium Clutch is SuperGaming’s innovative feature that introduces a dual-win condition in battle royale matches. In addition to the traditional last-person-standing win, the Cosmium —an ultra-rare resource—spawns in the final circle; capturing Cosmium grants your squad an instant victory, but the challenge lies in surviving the chaos as every team scrambles to secure it while battling each other.

The Grudge system adds a unique layer of revenge to gameplay. When a player is eliminated, they can declare a grudge against their opponent. In the next match, both players are placed in the same lobby, with the grudge opponent’s approximate location marked on the map. This mechanic gives players the chance to settle the score and seek vengeance in their next encounter.

In line with the game’s launch, SuperGaming recently revealed Clutch India Movement, a year-long esports roadmap starting with the Indus International Tournament. The tournament boasts a massive prize pool of INR 2.5 crore which is the largest for any Made in India battle royale game.

Indian and global teams will be competing in a series of four tournament phases with the MVP being awarded with a customised Mahindra Thar. The Indus International Tournament will be followed by another major event, the Indus International Mahasangram in October 2025.
