Temperatures have plunged across the county this week as people have been enjoying the last few days of their festive breaks.
With the mercury dropping, gritters have been out in force keeping our roads safe.
The colder, brighter temperatures have also given budding photographers the opportunity to capture stunning sunsets and sunrises.
Brrrrr: Temperatures plunged to -5C overnight on Thursday as an amber health alert for cold weather was issued for the area.
Teams of gritters worked late into the night to ensure our county’s roads were safe for drivers.
Morning glory: With temperatures remaining cold on Friday morning, local landmarks were bathed in frost as the sun came up.
Lydiard Park was just one of the sites that woke up to wintery scene.
Chim Chim Cher-ee: The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust has a new chairman to start the new year.
Philip Coward, from the brush manufacturers Hillbrush, based in Mere near Salisbury Plain, is the new man at the helm, taking over from Robert Hiscox.
The charity works with Wiltshire Police to provide a home security service for elderly and vulnerable people throughout the county.
Winter walks: For ramblers and dog walkers across the county, the cold weather provided ample opportunities to explore the great outdoors with a notable crunch under foot.
As seen above, the fields and public footpaths of Chippenham proved perfect for a bracing stroll.
Light and Dark: The frost had largely gone by Friday afternoon, but many in the county were treated to a dazzling sunset.
Those with time to spare were enjoyed a walk as the low sun casted dramatic shadows across Wiltshire’s parks, gardens and open spaces.
Swindon’s Town Gardens, pictured above, was no exception.
